Meet Eddie Hall

Eddie Hall Paralyzed at the Age Eight

Eddie Hall was paralyzed 50 years ago due to an auto accident at the age of eight. He worked at Publix Supermarkets 26 years and Home Depot 13 years to present.

Eddie is the current Vice Chair of the Florida Development Disabilities Council, current Vice Chair of Florida Center for Inclusive Communities CAC at USF, current Board Member of Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology (FAAST), and current advisor to Polk County Self Advocacy Alliance.

Eddie is the former President of FLSAND (2 years), former Representative of Polk County Transportation for Disadvantaged (8 years), former Commissioner of Lakeland Housing Authority (8 years), former Board Member of Family Café (2 years), former President of Polk County Council PTA (2 years), and former Board Member of Florida PTA (2 years).

Eddie Hall awarded SARTAC Fellowship

On February 21, 2022, Eddie Hall and Expedite Life was awarded a grant and fellowship from SARTAC and UMKC Institute for Human Development. The project was carried out from March 1, 2022, to February 28, 2023. Eddie’s project coordinated with Capt. Thomas Griffin, Direct or Bird Dog Boats and had two goals.

  1. Establish a community service company directed by Eddie Hall.

  2. Put on an adaptive boating program on Lake Parker in Lakeland, FL.

Eddie Hall Appointed to Polk County Lakes Access Advisory Committee

On January 6, 2023, Eddie Hall was appointed to the Polk County Lakes Access Advisory Committee! Eddie by Commissioner Braswell at the County of Commissioners board meeting.

Brandy Gray, Administrative Supervisor told Eddie “We thank you for your willingness to serve on this committee and look forward to getting to know you and working with you.”
